Alaska

U.S. House

Incumbent U.S. Representative Mary Peltola (D) is the only woman candidate to advance to the general election in the top-four primary for Alaska’s at-large U.S. House seat. This contest is currently rated as “Lean Democrat” by Cook Political Report

Florida

U.S. House

In Florida, women are 21 of 55 (38.2%) major-party nominees for U.S. House, including 17 of 28 (60.7%) Democrats and 4 of 27 (14.8%) Republicans. All nine (5D, 4R) incumbent women are favored to win re-election, while all 12 (12D) non-incumbent women nominees are running in contests that currently favor their opponents.

U.S. Senate

Former U.S. Representative Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D) won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Florida. She will challenge incumbent U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R) in a contest currently rated as “Likely Republican” by Cook Political Report. If successful, Mucarsel-Powell would be the first Democratic woman senator from Florida and the second Latina in the U.S. Senate from any state.

Wyoming

 U.S. House

The general election contest for Wyoming’s at-large seat to the U.S. House will be between two women, including incumbent U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman (R) — who is strongly favored to win re-election.
